This core material is a polyester mat, embedded and volumized with thermoplastic microspheres. It is particularly suitable for wet-in-wet laminates. Because of its low resin consumption and its light weight it is mainly used for thin wall products. Laminates with core mat have a perfect surface quality and laminate homogeneity as well as superior compressive strength than polyester-based core materials.core mat HT has an improved resistance to higher temperatures as well as higher compressive strength during the manufacturing process. It is suitable for all resin systems, including epoxy and polyester foam resins.
